The Political Animals RLFC has announced Cheney Payroll Services as its new sponsor.
The club, which comprises politicians from all levels and all major parties, plays charitable and representative sides and counts Peers, MPs and councillors amongst its membership. Since the Animals was formed in 2010, politicians, parliamentary and political staff have pulled on a shirt, and seen the importance of the sport to communities across the United Kingdom.
Cheney Payroll Services work with businesses of all sizes who are looking to implement a new payroll system or improve their existing system. Their sponsorship enables the club to play games and provide opportunities for politicians to experience rugby league.
The Political Animals plan to release information on future fixtures in the coming months.
Making the announcement was Animals Parliamentary Captain and Member of Parliament for Hornsey and Wood Green, Catherine West MP. She said “the Political Animals welcome Cheney Payroll Services as our major sponsor.
“Their support will allow the club to help promote rugby league amongst politicians and political staff in the United Kingdom, allow more people to experience the game, and to see what rugby league does for communities across the country.”
Cheney Payroll Services Managing Director, Martyn Cheney, said “we are delighted to support the Political Animals and the work that they do to promote rugby league to politicians across the United Kingdom.
“Cheney Payroll Services also supports a number of community rugby league clubs, and we hope that our support for the Political Animals will help to promote the positive impact that rugby league has for participants, volunteers and supporters.”
